The final C of the C3 vision is Compassion: In Compassion we bring Life. At Faith Alliance Church, we make friends with those who have not experienced God's grace and those of different cultures or socio-economic backgrounds. We believe that Faith Alliance Church will influence the world for Christ, when resting in, and motivated by His great love for us we extend that love through our hands and feet in acts of service. We live life with our hands wide open, generously giving away the truth, time, talent, and treasure that God has graciously entrusted to us. The Great Commission says, "Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20). We are called to go into the world to share the Good News of Christ and to reflect His love. At FAC, we provide the congregation with opportunities to serve and be the hands and feet of Jesus here in the US and abroad. In 2010, a team traveled to Portland, ME to work with African refugees and children in the community. In 2011, we returned to Portland, ME and another team served for one week in Catadupa, Jamaica. We are excited to return to both Portland and Jamaica in 2012. FAC is entering a partnership of local evangelical churches to meet the needs of our neighbors here in Attleboro. The mission of the Saltshaker is to encourage the local Church to stand together and bring our neighbors to Jesus Christ by serving the spiritual, physical, emotional, and educational needs of our community.
