Local Missions

The final C of the C3 vision is Compassion: In Compassion we bring Life. At Faith Alliance Church, we make friends with those who have not experienced God's grace and those of different cultures or socio-economic backgrounds. We believe that Faith Alliance Church will influence the world for Christ, when resting in, and motivated by His great love for us we extend that love through our hands and feet in acts of service. We live life with our hands wide open, generously giving away the truth, time, talent, and treasure that God has graciously entrusted to us. The Great Commission says, "Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20). We are called to go into the world to share the Good News of Christ and to reflect His love. At FAC, we provide the congregation with opportunities to serve and be the hands and feet of Jesus here in the US and abroad. Since 2010, a team has traveled from FAC to Portland, ME annually to minister to refuges from Sudan and Somalia while partnering with the Root Cellar. In 2015, FAC began showing compassion to those in the Attleboro community in two very special ways.  First, we have been able to open our doors as a temporary homeless shelter when the temperature is below 14 degrees or several inches of snow are forecasted.  We partner with other area churches to staff the shelter through the night.  Second, we have had the opportunity to serve and provide food for the Food n’ Friends lunch served on Saturdays.  Food n’ Friends provides hot and nutritious meals to those who have a fixed income as well as the homeless.
